Mom's Iced Almonds
So very easy to make.
You could use a different kind of nut,but then they wouldn't be called "Iced Almonds" HA HA
This recipe was another of my Mom's recipes.Never a Christmas without them.
Brings back great memories with the family.
- 1 c
- whole blanched almonds
- 1/2 c
- 2 Tbsp
- butter or margarine (not lite)
- 1/2 tsp
- 3/4 tsp
Heat and stir over medium heat,until almonds are toasted and the sugar is a golden brown syrup.(about 15 min.)Stir in vanilla.
Break into 2-3 nut clusters.
