This is my Mother's recipe and it is very special. She went through many, many recipes for granola before she perfected this one. It's the best granola I've ever had and you'll love it too!

Ingredients For diane's homemade rancho bernardo granola

  • 1 1/2 c
    pecans, broken in large pieces
  • 2 c
    quaker oats
  • 2 c
    sliced almonds
  • 2 c
    coconut, shredded sweet
  • 1/2 c
    wheat germ
  • 1 c
    sesame seeds
  • 1 c
    sunflower seeds (no shells)
  • 1 1/2 c
    honey (wildflower preferred)
  • 3/4 c
    peanut oil
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 1/2 c
    dried currants
  • 1 c
    dried banana chips sweet

How To Make diane's homemade rancho bernardo granola

    Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

    Combine all ingredients in a bowl except the last three.

    Mix thoroughly and spread on a baking sheet at 300°F for about 1 hour or until browned.

    After baking, mix in last three ingredients.
