Ingredients For california granola bars

1 1/2 cwalnuts

1/2 cdried apples
-
1/2 cdried apricots
-
6 cquick-cooking oatmeal

3/4 cunsalted butter
-
1/2 choney
-
1/2 cfirmly packed light brown sugar

1 tspground cinnamon
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1/4 tspsalt
How To Make california granola bars

1Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 10x15x1 inch jelly roll pan.

2Place nuts, apples, & apricots, in a food processor, & chop finely. Transfer to a large bowl, and add oatmeal.

3In a saucepan, combine butter, honey, sugar, and cinnamon, and bring to a boil; boil 1 minute. Stir, into oatmeal mixture, with vanilla and salt. Press mixture firmly and evenly into prepared pan.

4Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool in pan, and cut into 35 (1 1/2 x 3 inch) bars. Store in airtight container in cool, dry place. Makes 35 bars.
