We LOVE these super simple crackers! To keep them handy for snacking, I try to make them once a week. I use only 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper because we don't like them to be too spicy.

Ingredients For uncle john's spiced crackers

  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1/2 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 pkg
    ranch dressing mix
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 box
    whole grain saltines

How To Make uncle john's spiced crackers

    Open crackers into large, lidded container, such as a one gallon jar or a 32 cup bowl.

    Mix all spices and dressing mix together in a small bowl. Add oil and mix together.

    Pour spiced oil over crackers. Put lid on container and gently roll every 15 minutes for 2 hours to evenly coat crackers.

    Remove crackers to clean container. Will keep in air tight container for 6 weeks, but they'll be eaten before then!
