What could be better to serve your guests...but a healthy vegetable appetizer???
I am sure if you have never tried hummus..you are sure to love this dish..you might want to make a 2 dishes.
Keep one in the refrigerator for later.

Ingredients

1 can(s)
( about 15 oz.)..chick-peas, rinsed, and drained
2 Tbsp
tahini...please no substutes!.. it is a must with this recipe!
2 Tbsp
fresh lemon juice
1 clove
garlic
3/4 Tbsp
salt
1
fresh tomato, finely chopped
2 Tbsp
chopped fresh parsley
pita bread wedges or assorted crackers

Directions Step-By-Step

1....Place chick peas, tahini,lemon juice and salt in a chopper or blender, process till smooth.
Set aside.
2....Combine tomato, onions,and parsley in a small bowl.
Place reserved bean mixture in a medium serving bowl.
Spoon tomato mixture evenly over top.
Serve with crackers or pita bread wedges.
