I grew up that, every once in awhile, we'd have a deep-fry night. Homemade potato chips, onion rings, doughnuts, fish, etc. But it was always done in bulk. My family didn't have the patience for fondue. But I LOVE the idea (even if it's really a lot of work), so I had a fondue party recently. I found this recipe in the Better Homes and Gardens Fondue and Tabletop Cooking cookbook. This is a batter that I whipped up to dip veggies, little hot dogs, even fruit into. It worked well -- we all enjoyed it!
