This is an exceptional tasting dish! I do not normally care for beans, but the taste of this is out of this world. Nice summer dish too!

Ingredients For texas cavair

  • 1 can
    black eyed peas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can
    black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can
    white corn, rinsed and drained, you can use fresh corn if you wish
  • 1 jar
    small jar pimentos drained
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/2 c
    vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 md
    onion
  • 1 pinch
    red pepper flakes to your liking

How To Make texas cavair

  • 1
    Mix 1/2 cup vinegar with the sugar and vegetable oil. Heat to boil and pour over the vegetable mixture. Let sit over night in refrigerator.
