This is my version of my mom's tomatoes. SHe grew tomatoes every year and this was my favorite way to eat them.

Ingredients

4 large
tomatoes
1/8 tsp
pepper
1 tsp
sugar
1 tsp
salt
1 Tbsp
butter

Step-By-Step

1Peel tomatoes and cut them into chunks.

2In a saucepan, heat tomatoes, stirring constantly, until the juice comes out.About 10 minutes.

3Cook over low heat until desired consistency is reached.

4Add salt, pepper, butter and sugar.

5You can add breadcrumbs to the top if you like. And can substitute 6 small tomatoes for the large.
