i like carrots "dressed up" and this is the way i like the best

Ingredients For special day carrots

  • 2
    fresh carrots...sliced...[i like to use slicer on food processor]
  • water.... jus to cover carrots
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 1 pinch
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    splenda
  • 1 tsp
    pumpkin pie spice
  • slice
    of fresh ginger...chopped well
  • 1 pinch
    orange juice, unsweetened

How To Make special day carrots

  • 1
    trim carrots...[i don't peal them... place in med fry pan...add water jus to cover add salt and cinnamon bring to boil... cook til carrots tender an most water is gone...[if need be drain carrots]

    add butter and splenda mix well add spices keep cooking til glaze sticks to carrots

    pour carrots onto serving dish garish with drizzle of oj and maybe an orange slice get with any meat, poultry or fish adds great color...
