  • DOG BONES:
  • 1/2 c
    old fashioned oats
  • 2 1/2 c
    all purpose flour or whole wheat flour
  • 1 x lg
    egg
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    light molasses
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • PUPCAKES:
  • 3 c
    all purpose flour or whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    applesauce, unsweetened
  • 1/4 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
  • 1 - 8 oz pkg
    cream cheese, low-fat
  • 1 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    honey

How To Make pb pupcakes w/ crm cheese frosting & dog bones

    DOG BONES: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat baking sheets with cooking spray. Combine oats, flour, egg, oil & molasses; mix well. Stir in water until combined. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/2" thickness. Using a 2 3/4" bone shaped cookie cutter (or whatever size you want), cut out treats. Keep rolling until all dough is used. Transfer to baking sheets. Bake 10 - 12 minutes or until dry & set. Remove on pans; cool completely on rack. Makes 22 - 30 treats.

    PUPCAKES: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk together flour & baking powder. In a medium bowl, combine water, applesauce, peanut butter, honey & extract; mix until combined. Add to flour mixture. Beat at medium speed until blended. In a greased 12 C muffin pan, spoon batter into cups, filling 3/4ths full. Bake 17 minutes. Remove from pans to wire rack; place in freezer 8 - 10 minutes or until cool. Makes 1 dozen

    FROSTING: Beat cream cheese until fluffy, about 2 - 3 minutes. Add flour & honey, beating until smooth. Spread on pupcake; top each with a dog bone. *Store in container IN REFRIGERATOR up to 2 days.
