    parsnips, cleaned and pared
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

    Cut parsnips in half lengthwise; cook and drain. Brown lightly in butter, season. Sprinkle with a little sugar if desired.
