MY WORLD FAMOUS BAKED BEANS

I've been making these beans for so many years that I don't remember who gave me the original recipe. I've tweaked it a bit over time and have shared it with family and friends who requested it. They're the top requested dish for a potluck, BBQ, or picnic and go well with ham, burgers or hotdogs, fried chicken, etc. I don't know the number of servings, but there's plenty for a group or potluck.

Ingredients

1
chopped onion, sauteed with
1/2 lb
thick sliced peppered bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 1/2 lb
lean ground beef, browned

in a bowl, add and mix well:
1 1/2 c
brown sugar
1 1/2 c
catsup
2 Tbsp
hickory smoke
2 can(s)
(16-oz ) b & m original baked beans with liquid.
1 can(s)
(16-oz) red kidney beans with liquid
1 can(s)
(16-oz.) butter beans, drained

Step-By-Step

1Saute first 3 ingredients together, until bacon is cooked and flavors blended.

2In a bowl, mix the next 3 ingredients.

3In a bowl, mix the beans together. Now add everything together and bake in 350 oven, uncovered, for 1 hour.
