Jamie's StoryI think this slaw tastes just like the slaw from LJS' although my mother in law says it's even better!
I found this recipe by doing an online search.It's originally from one of the resturaunt secrets revealed cookbooks.
very finely chopped cabbage (1 head)
1 1/2 Tbsp
2 1/2 tsp

1Be sure that the cabbage, carrots, and onion are chopped up into very fine pieces (about the size of rice kernels). (NOT REQUIRED, I DIDN'T)
2Combine the sugar, salt pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice, and beat until smooth.
3Add the cabbage, carrots, and onions. Mix well.
4The critical part of this cole slaw recipe is the flavor-enhancement period prior to eating. Be absolutely certain the cole slaw sits in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours prior to serving.

NOTE- I used the ready made coleslaw mix that had the carrots in it. I also didn't put any onions and forgot to put regular milk in it and it came out great. I did have to double it though because it shrinks big time. I'm not sure that the bagged mix had 8 cups in it either so that might have been my problem.

I KNOW I WAS JUST FIXIN TO POST THIS . I GOT MINE FROM THE SAME BOOK BUT MINE SAY KFC COLE SLAW. YOU BEAT ME TO THE PUNCH . LOL

Oh thank you so much for sharing this recipe. I have been using it for years and I made it the other day and left the recipe on my table, came home to find out that my dog decided to eat it. Was gonna look for it again on google and thought I would check here first since this is my favorite website. Thanks again for posting and if anybody is wondering if they should try this or not definitely do. Best coleslaw recipe out there. I have never made this without someone asking me for the recipe.
