I love collard greens and I make them for Thanksgiving and Christmas and more holidays. I cook collard greens with hamcocks. It is so good to eat with cracklin cornbread. They are so delicious and tasty.

Ingredients For lisa's collard greens

    collard greens, bunch
  • 2
    hamcocks
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    red pepper flakes
  • salt to taste
  • water

How To Make lisa's collard greens

  • 1
    Wash collard greens and cut the stems out and shred collard greens. Put water in the large pot and add hamcocks and let it cook for 20 minutes and add collard greens. Add olive oil, sugar, red pepper flakes and salt. Bring to a boil and reduce to medium heat. Cook for 3 hours until the collard greens are tender and done.
