Ingredients For japanese zucchini and onions

  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 md
    onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 md
    zucchinis, cut into thin strips
  • 2 Tbsp
    teriyaki sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce (i use lite/light.)
  • 1 Tbsp
    toasted sesame seeds
  • ground black pepper
  • VARIATIONS
  • use sesame oil, instead of vegetable oil--don't burn
  • add garlic
  • delete teriyaki, keep soy, add a dollop of butter and a squeeze of lemon at the end

How To Make japanese zucchini and onions

    Warm oil, in a large skillet, over medium heat. Stir in onions, and cook 5 minutes.

    Add zucchini, and cook, stirring about 1 minute.

    Stir in sauces and sesame seeds.

    Cook, until zucchini is tender, about 5 minutes.

    Stir in ground pepper, and serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.
