Honestly, you don't necessarily have to grill this corn. You can boil it first, drain it, and then roll it in the seasonings if you prefer not to grill it.

Elevate fresh corn on the cob this summer with this grilled corn recipe. Amanda's seasoned butter mixture soaks into the corn while grilling. The blend of spices pairs well with the flavor of the corn. Little sweet kernels of corn pop in your mouth with every bite.

Ingredients For grilled corn on the cob

  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • cayenne pepper, to taste
  • garlic powder, to taste
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 c
    unsalted butter, softened
  • 6
    ears corn, husked and cleaned

How To Make grilled corn on the cob

  • Preheating the grill.

    Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
  • Brushing corn with seasoned butter.

    In a medium bowl, mix together the chili powder, oregano, onion powder, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Blend in the softened butter. Apply this mixture to each ear of corn, and place each ear onto a piece of aluminum foil big enough to wrap the corn. Wrap like a burrito, and twist the ends to close.
  • Wrapped corn on the grill.

    Place wrapped corn on the preheated grill. Cook for 20 to 30 minutes or until tender when poked with a fork. Turn corn occasionally during cooking.
