- head of cabbage
- 5 slice
- bacon (more if desired)

1Chop cabbage and set aside.
2Cut bacon into 1" pieces and fry over medium heat until crisp in large, heavy pan.
Once browned, strain out bacon pieces to drain on paper towling, reserving grease in pan.
3Over medium heat, pour cut-up cabbage into bacon grease, tossing to coat evenly with the grease. Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
4Once cabbage has cooked until almost tender, add bacon pieces back in and toss to distribute.
Finish cooking until desired tenderness is reached.
