I liked this idea so I mixed up the ingredients I also added a teaspoon of ground cloves, tablespoon of ground cinnamon and instead of using the real lemon I put in two teaspoons of lemon extract and when it got warm my whole house smelled wonderful,I plan to use this for the upcoming holidays.

Rose! We have to stop meeting like this! LOL! I have one of those "Little Dipper" pots that came with a great big Crock Pot. I "dedicated" it to potpourri because it's hard to get the scent of the oils out of it after you use it for potpourri every day for a month or more during the holidays. The size is perfect, though, and not really big enough for much else.

In the spring and summer, I like to use essential rose oil or lily of the valley and maybe toss in some mint from the garden (instead of the cinnamon/nutmeg/gingerbread scent). It's fun to play with.

I like this idea. Approximately how big is that crock pot? According to the list of ingredients it doesn't have to be very big. I have saved this 'recipe' for now. 5/01/12
