Nancy J.'s Notes:

Dory S. In Spokane,WA...
sent me this easy recipe just yesterday.
What a novel idea. I have never heard of it.
Probably well known among the outdoorsy set, and perfect for a gathering of people at a picnic,
or at a Bar-B-Q.
The corn will remain at the perfect level of doneness for a couple of hours.
With the lid down.
If it lasts that long!!
Have the salt and butter ready!

Directions

1
Put the corn in the cooler.
Add the boiling water.
Immediately close the lid.
Open lid,after required time,
it will be perfectly cooked!
No peaking, so the water stays hot.
Serve, cover, eat and enjoy.

I have made this several times! The water has to totally cover all of the corn.... and no peeking because heat escapes! The family loves this.... and it is so much fun for family reunions and potlucks!

Any size cooler works.... so long as the lid seals down tight so heat doesn't escape...

Hey you guys, My uncle sent me a cool video with a trick to corn without any silk left on them. Thought this would be a good place to share it. Hope the link works.

If the link doesnt work, you simply microwave each ear of unpeeled corn for 4 minutes. Cut off the stem end and shake the corn out of the bottom part that you cut. No silk what so ever. Will be trying this next summer!
