"Collard Greens" Southern Style

- any amount of collard greens
- 1/2 lb
- bacon or (salt pork) uncooked cut into 1" pieces
- bacon drippings added to taste
- 1 tsp
- water to cover
1Wash, Rince, Cut out Tough stems. Can Chop smaller or Leave whole.
2Place in Large Pot, add all the ingredients, Bring to Boil. . .Reduce heat, Cover
3Steam about 30 minutes.
Serve with your favorite meal.
4To Serve; We use wine vinegar over top of ours, (optional)
