Paula's StoryThis is a favorite when my girlfriends come over for a "hen party". We like it "as is", but it can be made into a complete meal by adding browned ground beef or chicken.
jiffy cornbread mix
butter or margarine (divided in 1/2)

OMG Paula, i had a friend, she was egyptian. she made me something very similar to this but she used cottage cheese instead of shredded cheddar! and it was so moist and so dang good..i got the recipe from her but ive lost it, it was more than 12 years ago. how could we incorporate this? (due to the extra moisture)

Michelle, I would just try it with all the same ingredients and replace the cheese...............the extra moisture may not make a difference. If you try it, please let me know how it comes out!
