My daughter made this recipe when her mother-in-law came for dinner and she liked it so well that it is now her favorite recipe too. It can be made ahead of time and baked when needed.

Ingredients For broccoli and rice casserole

  • 1 16 oz pkg
    chopped broccoli
  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine, cut into 1" pieces
  • 3/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 3/4 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 c
    cheez-whiz
  • 2 c
    cooked rice
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup, undiluted

How To Make broccoli and rice casserole

  • 1
    Cook broccoli in a microwave for about 4 min. and drain
  • 2
    Put margarine, onion and celery in microwave dish and cook until soft.

    Mix cheez-whiz and soup together until blended.

    Mix cooked rice and all other ingredients and spread into a 9 x 13 pan and bake for 30 min. at 350 degrees
