Bella is beautiful in Italian. Hence the bella = portobello mushroom! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Ingredients For beautiful burger

  • 4 lg
    portobello mushroom caps, gills removed
  • 2 Tbsp
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce, low sodium
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 tsp
    rosemary, dried
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    mccormick perfect pinch steak seasoning
  • 4 slice
    red onion
  • 4 slice
    tomato
  • 4 slice
    mozzarella cheese, fresh
  • 1 md
    avocado, sliced thin
  • baby spinach
  • 4
    kings hawaiian hamburger buns

How To Make beautiful burger

    In a large bowl, whisk together vinegar, soy sauce, oil, rosemary & steak seasoning. Place the mushroom caps in the bowl & toss with sauce, using a spoon to evenly coat. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, turning occasionally.

    Preheat grill to medium heat.

    When hot, brush the grate with oil. Place the mushrooms on the grill, reserving marinade for basting. Grill for 5 - 7 minutes on each side, or until tender, brushing with marinade frequently.

    Top the mushrooms with cheese during the last minute of cooking. While the mushrooms cook, grill the onions about 1 minute on each side & grill the buns until toasted.

    When serving, place the spinach & grilled portobello mushrooms on the buns & top with the grilled onions, sliced tomato & avocado.
