My family absolutely loved these sprouts. I wanted to try something different so I sliced them, which made the cooking process so much quicker. I caramelized them with shallots and then finished cooking them through with some added chicken broth. Delicious! I'll be making these quite often.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

4 Tbsp

olive oil
1 lb
fresh brussel sprouts - outer leaves removed and sliced thinly
1 tsp
mrs dash herb and garlic seasoning or something similar
1/4 tsp
garlic salt
3
sliced shallots
fresh
cracked black pepper
2 clove
minced garlic
1 Tbsp

1/4 c
real bacon bits or a couple slices of thick bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
1/4 - 1/2 c
chicken broth

Step-By-Step

1Slice sprouts, shallots and mince garlic.
2In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter until frothy. Add the olive oil.

Spread out the sliced sprouts evenly into the hot pan - add shallots, seasonings, Worcestershire sauce and saute for 2 - 3 minutes to caramelize. Flip sprouts with spatula to other side and saute until caramelizing.
3Add the bacon bits, stir and cook another minute. Next the garlic. Stir. Saute another minute tossing occasionally.
4Add the broth and cook just long enough until sprouts are tender. Sprinkle with almonds and serve.

My family just loved the nutty, buttery taste of these sprouts. I will be making again.
