Mashed Potatoes with Rutabagas
In Ireland and Scotland rutabagas have been carved out and used as candle lanterns in windows to ward off harmful spirits during Halloween celebrations

- 4 medium
- 1/4 c
- 2 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste
1Peel, rinse and cut rutabaga and potatoes into cubes.
Cover with water in medium pan.
2Simmer (20 minutes) or until done.
3Add milk, butter, salt and pepper.
Mash until well blended together.
