I have no idea, where I got this recipe. It was in a stash that has been accumulating for a number of years, in my closet. The green beans are blanched & then mixed with the rest of the ingredients. Great side dish or salad.

Ingredients For green beans with lemon & soy sauce

  • 1 lb
    fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 lg
    cloves of garlic, cut in pieces
  • 2 Tbsp
    extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    fresh lemon juice, meyers preferably
  • 2 tsp
    light soy sauce or tamari

How To Make green beans with lemon & soy sauce

    Bring a large pot of water to a boil, over high heat. Add the trimmed, fresh green beans. Cook, until crisp-tender, 3-4 minutes, depending on the freshness and size of the green beans. Drain immediately, and transfer to a large bowl.

    Add remaining ingredients to the beans, & toss mixture, to combine, then remove and discard garlic. Serve at room temperature. Makes 4 servings.
