green beans & potatoes

I love fresh green beans,for the past 2 weeks,the store where I usually buy vegetable have them on sale for .69 p/lb and they have been so good,small and tender. I don't always add potatoes but they're good and well seasoned when I do.My husband like to mash the potatoes on his plate. Simmer as many potatoes as you need to serve.

Ingredients For green beans & potatoes

fresh green beans,washed broken into 1 inch pieces

red potatoes,cut in half

vegetable broth or bouillon cube

garlic cloves,slivered

salt and pepper,to taste

butter
-
water
How To Make green beans & potatoes

1Add all ingredients(except salt) in a pot,cover with just enough water to barely cover, simmer until potatoes are done. Check for seasoning. You may not need salt using bouillon. I cook canned green beans this way but cook the potatoes until tender,then add drained beans.Heat just until hot.I get a lot of compliments that they do not taste like canned beans.
