Family Favorite Creamed Corn

When fresh sweet corn is out of season, this is a delicious alternative. I call it candy corn...so darn yummy!

Ingredients

1 - 12 oz
bags, frozen corn- thawed
1 c
heavy cream
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 tsp
kosher salt
2 Tbsp
sugar
2 Tbsp
butter
1/2 Tbsp
bacon grease- optional
1 c
milk
2 Tbsp
flour somewhat heaping
1/4 c
shredded parmesan cheese
2
green onions, sliced

Step-By-Step

1In a large skillet over medium heat - combine the corn, sugar, salt, pepper, butter, bacon grease and cream.
2Whisk together the milk and flour and stir into the corn mixture. Continue cooking until the mixture is thickened and corn is cooked through.
3Remove from the burner and stir in the Parmesan cheese and green onion.

Serve immediately.
