Ingredients For barbara bush's vegetable salad (spinach)

  • FOR THE SALAD PLACE IN ORDER IN LAYERS IN A LARGE GLASS TRIFFLE BOWL
  • 2 lb
    freshly chopped spinach, you chop it!!!
  • 10 lg
    eggs, hard boiled,sliced
  • 1 lb
    bacon,cooked and crumbled
  • 1 md
    lettuce head, shredded
  • 1 c
    silced shallots
  • 1 pkg
    thawed frozen peas, uncooked
  • FOR THE DRESSING BLEND TOGETHER AND POUR OVER PEAS
  • 2 1/2 c
    mayonaise (hellmans or best brand)
  • 2 1/2 c
    sour cream (daisy brand)
  • salt and pepper
  • worcestershire sauce, to taste
  • fresh lemon juice, to taste
  • FOR THE TOP
  • 1/2 c
    grated baby swiss cheese
