- 2 c
- white rice (i prefer med grain but long grain is fine) never instant rice!
- 5 c
- water, boiling
1Bring water to boil.
2Add rice and stir for a minute or so, just to make sure the rice doesn't stick. The water will stop boiling at this point.
3After you finish stirring the rice, cover pot and set timer to 18 minutes. Watch the pot and when the water comes to a boil (you'll know, the water starts to boil over) lower heat to low so it doesn't boil over. This needs to simmer at this point that's why you need to put it on low.
DON'T REMOVE THE COVER OR STIR UNTIL TIMER GOES OFF!!!!
