Cut bacon into small pieces and add to skillet. Fry slightly until fat is in the pan, then add celery, onion, and apple.(All of these should be diced into small 1/2" pieces. Fry until bacon is nicely browned and celery is soft. Add spices.
Next add chicken broth and heat until near boiling. Add bread crumbs. Cover for 15 minutes until softened. Fluff with fork prior to serving.
