My mom came up with the original recipe. I've aadded a few additional items. Everone wants this recipe. Very Yummy.

Ingredients

1 pound
breakfast sausage
1 pound
ground beef
4
celery ribs
2 large
onions, yellow, medium
2
grated carrots
1 lb
sliced mushrooms
1/4 c
pine nuts
1/8 c
cranraisins
1/4 c
chopped italian flat leaf parsley
1/2 c
parmigiano-reggiano, grated
1 tsp
black pepper
2 tsp
salt
3 Tbsp
butter

Step-By-Step

1Add butter to a pan and saute chopped onions, celery and mushrooms for 5 minutes or until translucent. Set aside.

2Saute sausage and ground beef in a skillet until cooked. Drain excess fat and add meats into vegetable mixture. Off heat, stir in cranraisins, pine nuts, parsley and grated cheese. Add salt and pepper.

3Use cooled mixture to stuff a 20 - 24 lb. turkey or you can cook this stuffing in a 9x13 pan. If cooking outside the turkey, dot with 2 tablespoons of butter before baking at 350 degrees.
