Ingredients
| 1 stk | margarine - melted |
| 1 can(s) | whole kernal corn (drained) |
| 1 can(s) | creamed corn |
| 1 lg | egg - beaten |
| 1 c | sour cream |
| 1 pkg | corn bread mix ( i use jiffy) |

IF YOU DON'T HAVE CORNBREAD MIX, MAKE YOUR OWN |

| 1/2 c | yellow cornmeal |
| 1/2 c | all purpose flour |
| 3 tsp | baking powder |
| 2 Tbsp | sugar or splenda |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |

My Grandma used to make this Corn Casserole (she called it Spoonbread) on Sundays after church and serve with her Fried Chicken and green beans with potato's,she did the green beans and potato's in the deep-well that was in her wonderful big electric stove,anyone remember those???

Directions
melt margarine first ... then mix together both corns, egg and sour cream, mix well ... then add cornbread mix - mix lightly,add margarine ... BLEND well,but don't over mix.
pour into lightly greased 2 Qt. casserole.
Bake @ 350 until set ... about 50 -60 mins.

my mom had a stove like that when i was a kid .. long ago , i am now 73, it was the most modern stove made at that time also had two top ovens side by side with doors that lifted up instead of out.. also had six burners one was the deep well with its own pan and lid that stayed in there . was a great stove as i remember it ..that was in the fifties ..

We had a stove like that with a deep well. The thing I loved about it was that the burner below the deep well could actually be brought up to the surface if you needed an extra burner (like for holidays). And I LOVED the deep well.

I'm 73, also, and my mother had a stove with a deepwell. I learned to cook on that stove. It was basically a slowcooker or crockpot with options. She got it in the 50's, too in Pennsylvania. But, the first stove I remember was a huge black iron Mariah that took wood.
