Spanish Rice !

Every time we have tacos in our house my family always wants some kind of rice dish . so i came up with this Spanish Rice dish .. and they loved it now i make it every time we do taco night at our house !

vegetable oil
1/2 tsp
minced garlic
1 medium
onion , diced
1 medium
red bell pepper, diced
2 to 3 dash(es)
chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
14 oz cans of diced tomatoes ( do not drain them )
3/4 c
long grain rice, uncooked
1 c

Directions Step-By-Step

in a large pan heat your oil on med high heat . to your oil add your diced onions, peppers , garlic and your salt and pepper to taste , cook for one min. add your 2 to 3 dashes of chili powder . cook for few more minutes or until your onions are softened . once your onions are softened add your 2 cans of diced tomatoes your rice and your water . bring to a boil . once your rice has come to a boil reduce your heat and let it simmer for 25 minutes or until your rice is done . ( u may add more chili powder if needed)
