Chinese Fried Rice

My gram-ma loves this recipe, she says it's her favorite Chinese dish.

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
water
1 1/2 c
quick rice
1
egg
3 Tbsp
butter
1/3 c
green onions chopped with tops
1/2 c
water
3 Tbsp
soy sauce

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook rice in water. Bring to a boil and put cover on pan. Remove from heat. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes. In a skillet, put butter and sauce and onions for 3 minutes, then add rice and stir over medium heat until lightly brown. Then mix 1/4 cup water and soy sauce and stir into rice. Add egg and scramble lightly. Will serve 4 to 5 people.
