Broccoli and Cheese Rice

- 2 c
- jasmine rice
- fresh broccol florets
- 2-3 c
- finely shredded sharp cheddar
- salt and pepper to taste
1Prepare rice according to package directions. Jasmine rice is usually 1 1/2 water to one cup rice, cooked for 15 minutes)
2While rice is cooking, chop the broccoli into little pieces and add to pot 5 minutes before rice is done.
3Once rice is done, remove lid, and stir in cheese.
Season with salt and pepper if desired
