Sweet Potato Cassarole

This recipe was first introduced on Thanksgiving before my son left for his first tour in Iraq. My sister-in-law knew how much my son loved sweet potato's so she made him this dish. I have to share it with you.

Ingredients

4 1/2 c
cooked sweet potato(peeled, cubed, boiled and mashed
1/2 c
butter (softened)
1/3 c
milk
1 c
regular sugar
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract

eggs (beaten)
1 c
brown sugar
1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 c
butter, softened
1 c
chopped pecans or walnut i prefer walnuts

Directions Step-By-Step

After sweet potatoes have been cooked and mashed mix together with 1/2 cup soften butter,milk,regular sugar,vanilla extract and beaten eggs.

Spread into 9by13 inch baking dish pushing down and smoothing it out to make even.

In small bowl combine brown sugar,flour,nuts of choice and sprinkle this over whole casserole. then drizzle 1/2 cup melted butter over the top.

Bake at 350 for 20 to 30 minutes.
