Simple Sweet Potato Dumplings

By freedom bonilla Daddis_freedom

I make these simple sweet and savory dumplings often. My family can not get enough of them. I always double the recipe. The holidays are coming up, so I thought I would share this recipe. I make them as a quick snack or dessert, but they are well served with a nice ham! This is a versatile recipe..vanilla, nuts or spices may be added to taste. Some like to use fresh sweet potatoes as well.

Great recipe, I improvised some. I added ~1/2 teaspoon allspice to liquid & also generously sprinkled cinnamon over entire mixture before baking. I also used brown sugar Splenda mixture as well as my home grown sweet potatoes (of course I cooked them first). Really good & easy recipe which was enjoyed by all
