Simple, Perfect Mashed Potatoes

This is a basic recipe for mashed potatoes. They are creamy and perfect every time, just like my Mom made when we were kids!

Ingredients

5 1/2 c
raw potatoes, peeled and cut up
1/2 c
butter
1/3 c
2% or whole milk
1/2 tsp
salt

Directions Step-By-Step

Place potatoes in a large pot of Dutch oven. Fill with water about 2-inches above potatoes and boil until soft, about 25 minutes. Drain well. Return potatoes to pot.

Add remaining ingredients and beat with medium speed of an electric mixer until potatoes reach desired level of consistency.
