Ingredients

24 oz
hashed brown potatoes, divided
1 small
thinly sliced onion, divided
2
thinly sliced tomatoes, divided
8 oz
shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1.5 tsp
beau monde seasoning
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 tsp
oregano
1/2 c
lowfat milk

BEAU MONDE INGREDIENTS

1 Tbsp
cloves, ground
1 tsp
cinnamon, ground
1 Tbsp
salt
1 Tbsp
bay leaf , crushed
1 Tbsp
allspice, ground
2 Tbsp
pepper, ground
1 Tbsp
pepper, freshly ground white
1 tsp
nutmeg, ground
1 tsp
mace, ground
1 tsp
celery seed

Step-By-Step

1Prepare Beau Monde seasoning:
In a small mixing bowl, mix together all ingredients. Pour into a tightly closed jar and store in a cool, dry place.
2Prepare a shallow 6 cup casserole with a little margarine or spray oil.
3Layering in order listed, place first 7 ingredients in casserole; use half the amounts for the first 4 ingredients (those marked "divided").
4Then layer the remaining amounts of the first 4.
5Pour milk over top.
6Cover with foil, but loosely, so steam can escape.
7Bake 425 degrees for 25 minutes.
8Remove foil.
9Bake 5 more minutes.
10Remove and let stand a minute or two before cutting.
