1/2 qtypeeled (i like russett) potatoes

1Potatoes depends on quantity needed? 1/2 of total needed

3Boil potatoes...leave in water...while hot, add instant potatoes, milk, salt , pepper, butter. Mash by hand with masher. Mixer makes potatoes "starchy". Do not use electric mixer! More gently you mix or mash, fluffier. Chef told me this too.
