1Toss potatoes,salt and pepper in a greased baking dish.Layer potatoes in the baking dish,scattering butter over potatoes. Pour milk over potatoes just to cover.Cover with a top or tightly with foil. Bake until potatoes are tender. Remove cover or foil,turn oven up to 400 degrees to lightly brown potatoes and to absorb any milk that may remain.
