This dish is another alternative to the standard marshmallow topped sweet potatoes that's always served during the holidays. This dish is satisfying and not too sweet, and I like to make it throughout the year. Sweet potatoes are not just for Thanksgiving any more!

Ingredients For praline yams

  • 2 can
    cut yams
  • 1/3 c
    pecans, in pieces
  • 1/3 c
    coconut, flaked
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted

How To Make praline yams

  • 1
    Place drained yams in an ungreased 1 1/2" quart baking dish. In a small bowl combine remaining ingredients; blend well. Sprinkle this over the yams.

    Bake @ 350* for 35-40 minutes, or until casserole bubbles.
