Every holiday for as long as I can remember my mom made these sweet potatoes. They are so sweet they make your toes curl! Now my mom has passed the torch to me and I make sure when I feed them to my family, they are just like Mom's. Enjoy!
First take the butter and melt it in a large skillet. (Make sure the burner is on medium flame).
Second add the brown sugar to the butter. Stir the brown sugar mixture until the butter is mixed into the brown sugar.
Drain the yams but leave alittle juice in the can. Take the yams out of the can one by one and slowly cover them with the brown sugar mixture. Cook on slow flame until they are nice and candied. When done turn off flame and transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy.
