Mom's Sweet Potato Casserole

My mother has been making this casserole since I was a little girl. It's one of my all time favorite holiday dishes. Alot of people eat this as a side dish, but to me it's more a dessert. The topping really makes it special.

Ingredients

3 c
canned sweet potatoes - mashed
1 c
sugar
1/2 c
evaporated milk
2
eggs
1/3 c
butter, softened
pinch
salt

TOPPING

1/3 c
flour
1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c
coconut, flaked
1 c
pecans, chopped
1/3 c
butter, melted

Step-By-Step

1Combine first 6 ingredients until smooth. Pour into 2 qt. casserole dish.
2Combine next 5 ingredients until well mixed and spread over potato mixture.
3Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes.
4Serve warm, but is also great cold out of the fridge.
