Mama Mary Croquettes

A recipe for all the family, from the youngest to the oldest member of the family.
Another recipe thay accomodates with the weather.

If its warm outside take with a salad

If its cold accompany with a nice bowl of soup.

Even great in a buttered roll, as a take away.

1 oz
2 oz
plain flour
1/4 pt
grated nutmeg (optional)
6 oz
minced ham or turkey - tuna or salmon or chopped vegetables
salt & pepper


1Melt butter,remove from heat and add flour. Return to the heat, stirring constantly, make a roux, add milk until the mixture leaves sides of saucepan.
Add the meat or fish,continually mixing. Spread mixture in a shallow pan or on a plate and allow to set.
Toss them through flour, then dip into beaten egg and then into the breadcrumbs.

Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
