This is how my Gram made hers, my measurements aren't the same I'm sure, but close enough for comfort. Enjoy!

Ingredients

8 medium
potatoes, shredded
1 small
onion, grated
1 tsp
salt
1 Tbsp
flour
2
beaten, eggs
3/4 tsp
baking powder
3 Tbsp
bacon fat, melted
2 slice
bread, soaked in water, then sqeezed

Step-By-Step

Step 1 Direction Photo

1Grate potatoes and squeeze dry. Place in a large bowl, thoroughly mix in remaining ingredients and place in a 1 1/2 quart greased casserole dish.

2Bake in a 350 degree oven for approx 1 hour or until potatoes are cooked and golden brown. Near the end I brush with butter. ( last 5 minutes )

3I let it set for 5 minutes before cutting. I then serve with green onion and sour cream. Yum!
