Mmmmmmmmmmmm! You can also use Amaretto in this instead of the Kahlua. Either one....yummy!

Ingredients For kahlua candied sweet potatoes

  • 4 lg
    sweet potatoes
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    dark brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    kahlua coffee liqueur
  • marshmallows, mini

How To Make kahlua candied sweet potatoes

    Boil potatoes until tender, about 20 - 30 minutes. When cool enough to handle, peel & chop into cubes.

    In a skillet & heat to medium, melt butter & sugar until sugar is dissolved. Add 1/2 C kahlua, stir & cook 1 minute. Add potatoes, stir to coat on all sides. Cover & reduce heat to low; cook 15 minutes.

    Preheat broiler. Pour all into a greased baking dish & pour over remaining kahlua evenly over potatoes. Top with mini marhmallows. Broil 2 - 3 minutes for marshmallows to brown. Watch carefully so they don't burn.
