Sorry I don't know this one, but I needed 1 more to make a turkey version.

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 bag green beans or cauliflower florets, frozen, thawed
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey or sliced turkey breast from whole turkey
  • 1 jar heinz turkey gravy
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 ounces sour cream, fat-free
  • 4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 - 20 oz bags alexia sweet potato puffs, thawed

How To Make have gun will travel casserole

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet cook the onion until tender & translucent. Add green beans & cook, about 6 minutes. Add the chopped garlic & cook 1 minute more. Add the ground turkey & cook over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain the mixture & place into a large bowl & set aside. IF USING ALREADY COOKED TURKEY BREAST: Add it in step 2 after the cheese.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl combine the gravy, milk & sour cream. Whisk until smooth. Add to turkey mixture & stir to combine. Add 2 C cheddar cheese. Gently mix to combine.
  • Step 3
    Grease a 9" x 13" baking dish. Layer 1/2 the sweet potato puffs on the bottom, pour the turkey mixture over the top & then layer with the other 1/2 the sweet potato puffs. Sprinkle with remaining 2 C cheese. Wrap with foil & refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 4
    Take out of refrigerator 1 hour before baking & bake at 350 degrees F 25 - 30 minutes, or until golden brown & crunchy.
