This is a Thanksgiving and Christmas tradition. As in, I NEVER don't make it for either holiday, wherever I am. This is my gramma's recipe, handed down from her mother. I fudge a bit on the amount of nuts and brown sugar.

Ingredients For gramma's sweet potato casserole

4 lgsweet potatoes, cooked until soft through

1 1/2 cbutter, room temperature

1 cgranulated sugar

1 1/2 tspvanilla extract

2eggs, room temperature

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 cmilk
- TOPPING

1/2 cbutter

1 cdark brown sugar

1/2 call purpose flour

1 cfinely chopped pecans (sub. walnuts if desired)
How To Make gramma's sweet potato casserole

1Preheat over to 325 Fahrenheit.

2Beat all main ingredients together until smooth. Pour into 2 qt baking dish
